Having recently named Ronnie Fieg its Creative Director, the New York Knicks franchise is looking to make ripples in the fashion world, if nowhere else. And while not an official collaboration, an upcoming Nike Vapormax Flyknit 2021 could help it.

The Swoosh’s tried-and-proven Flyknit construction throughout the upper indulges in a bold blue tone reminiscent of the Knickerbockers’ team colors. Coupled with contrasting orange underlays and accents along the profiles and tongues, the hue makes an appropriate nod to Madison Square Garden’s home basketball team. Full-length Vapormax units underfoot forgo any eye-catching flair in favor of a clear makeup that allows for the upper to revel in the spotlight. Reinforcement at high-wear zones, however, bring some of the blue flavor from up-top to the outsole.

No firm Nike.com launch date has been disclosed by the brand as of yet, but that’s likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
