Michael Le A little over three years ago, adidas Consortium tapped into the outdoors trend with the “Gardening Pack,” which served as the introduction for two brand new styles: the Novaturbo and the Response Hoverturf. And while both silhouettes didn’t garner much attention following their release — swiftly hitting the sale section at over 70% off — the latter is seeing a spiritual successor in this newly-surfaced Shadowturf.
The Shadowturf bears a close resemblance to its grossly underrated predecessor, going as far to incorporate the same Adiprene sole unit, albeit in a speckled, cream-dominant coloring. And despite the upper’s numerous additions — such as the bungee lace system, partially detachable nylon cover, and remodeled paneling — the essence of the original is still evident underneath the robust overlays and see-through mesh inserts.
