Michael Le Borrowing inspiration from a legendary Dunk Low collection, the Nike Air Max 1 “Ugly Duckling” pack is due to close out the silhouette’s 35th Anniversary with a bang. And come next week, December 20th, we can expect to see the Tinker Hatfield-designed icon in both “Pecan” and “Ceramic.”
Relative to its earth-toned counterpart, the Nike Air Max 1 “Ceramic” is much more faithful to the original “Ugly Duckling” pack, drawing clear design cues from the colorway of the same name. Though the actual shades themselves may differ slightly, both “Kumquat” and “Honeydew” serve as adequate, albeit brighter substitutes for the original’s orange and green hues. Finally, the pair is rounded out with a black and grey base and duck-shaped embroidery.
