After cementing their brands with a number of silhouettes and branding opportunities, signature athletes soon recognize the price point of their performance sneakers aren’t always the most feasible for the average fan or hooper, thus working with their brand to devise a cost-effective secondary option. Joining the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo, Trae Young and adidas have officially announced a more practical take on the recently released Trae Young 2 with the concurrent adidas Trae Unlimited.

Stripping away its predecessor’s adaptive knit upper for an amalgamation of textiles, a protective mesh panel presides above the inner workings of the forefoot including its elongated lace loops and trio of stripes derived from the Adilette Slide. Coating its heel counter in a ridged nylon outfit, perforations litter both the tongue’s tooling and secondary midfoot panel while the sole unit comes infused with the Three Stripes staple BOOST cushioning system underfoot. Pouring in royal hues with a seldom violet undertone across the laces, pull tab branding, serrated outsole and side window, further color-matches render along the forefoot and the tongues hidden away lightning strikes. Additionally livening the mass amount of real estate devoted towards its white upper, vibrant mint accents clothe the see-through lace extensions and tread in conclusion.

While we sit tight on the pair’s release date, enjoy official images of the adidas Trae Unlimited “Royal/Mint” below in the meantime.
