Jared Ebanks While Roger Federer’s legendary career on the tennis court came to a bittersweet close this year due to a lingering leg injury, his legacy as one of the greatest players to grace a racket has long since been cemented. While his backhand flick and between-the-leg rallies won’t be on display any longer, the 20-time Grand Slam champion will first turn his post-retirement attention to revitalizing his collaborative Air Jordan-infused offerings, now harkening an all-new “True Blue” Nike Zoom Vapor Tour Air Jordan 3.
Having already experimented with some of the AJ 3’s staple colorways and casts throughout 2017 – such as its Black Cement, Fire Red and White Cement propositions – first looks at the upcoming pair reveal a stark diversion from its typical red/white/black combination, instead flipping the initial titular hue for an opposing “True Blue” effort. Laying claim in seldom fashion to the sock liner, eye stays, heel cup, Jumpman logo and heel counter’s OG Nike Air branding, the remaining tumbled leather construction extends a bright crisp white outfit in tandem with its laces and midsole construction for a near-monochrome upper.
Coordinating its synonymous elephant print panels across the mudguard and heel counter with its tooled traction tread underfoot, enjoy a first look at the upcoming Nike Zoom Vapor Tour Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” below while we sit tight on further release details.
