Jovani Hernandez NIKE, Inc. has prepped an expansive collection for the Lunar New Year, covering both popular and not-so-popular designs from its storied catalog in rabbit-friendly details. Recently, the women’s Air Jordan 1 Elevate emerged in an arrangement commemorating the “Year of the Rabbit” celebration.
Limited to just 5,000 pairs like its Air Jordan 1 Low OG counterpart, the newly-surfaced proposition relies on a jade-reminiscent hue across its forefoot and sole unit, differing from other options unveiled for the Lunar New Year. Varying hairy and furry components at the profile swooshes and heel areas, however, work in-tandem with “Year of the Rabbit” logos on the tongues’ undersides to cement the pair with Jordan Brand’s festive projects. The exaggerated midsole demands attention, but so does the shimmering golden pendant included with the shoes–a likely nod to the gifts traditionally exchanged across Asia during the changing of the zodiacal calendar.
