Jared Ebanks Hundreds of similar and disparate constructions have proffered an inclusive run of sizing for the Air Force 1 amidst its 40th anniversary, headlined by the doubled-up aesthetics of the women’s-exclusive Air Force 1 Shadow.
Airing on the side of lightened neutrals over the past few months, the latest scheme switches up the aforementioned pattern by indulging in a coordinated black/white outfit. If it weren’t for the “University Red” layering and shadowed embellishments, the employment of jet-black overlays and a crisp “Summit White” base layer would complete yet another “Panda” extension. Instead, the vibrant opposition enjoys a seldom yet effective feature along the quarter overlays trim and AF1 branding, introductory heel tab and medial side Swoosh while its remaining inclusions pair with a jet-black base across the tongue tab, layered “AIR” panel along its heel and doubled-up midfoot Swooshes. While the forefoot’s crisp contrast additionally clothes the heel’s cursive embroidery, the expected colorless cast of the sole unit instead renders a clad cream composition in tandem with its laces in conclusion.
Set to release in 2023 for a retail price of $120, enjoy official images of the women’s-exclusive Nike Air Force 1 Shadow “University Red” below in the meantime.
