Coming hot off the heels of the Nike Air Presto’s raucous revitalization to the market in the mid-2010s, its mid-top construction fitted with reinforced tooling became a staple in streetwear rotations throughout 2016 by way of its collaborative efforts with ACRONYM. And while the silhouette has been harkened upon for over two decades, its’ most simplistic offerings continue to provide fresh life to the “t-shirt for your feet”.
Identical to the composition harkened upon for its low-top silhouette in early 2021, not a single speck of color is attributed to the pair, coating everything from its neoprene forefoot to its duo of pull-tabs in the pitch-dark ensemble. Disparate from the aforementioned pair’s use of a glossy patent mudguard, the Air Presto Mid Utility remains reserved through a muted finish in tandem with its semi-translucent heel counter. Proffering a murdered-out sole unit that connects to its color-matched forefoot caging, a seldom sampling of suede outfits the ankle’s securing zipper and surrounding tightly knit collar construct for a proposition unafraid of getting a little scuffed up.
