2022 has officially come and gone, and the 40th Anniversary of the Nike Air Force 1 with it. That, however, doesn’t mean we’ll see any less of the Bruce Kilgore-designed icon, as it’s since appeared in a number of upcoming colorways, both collaborative and inline alike.
On the general release front, the Air Force 1 is mainly sticking to the basics. This is evidenced with this newly-revealed pair, which is entirely clad in neutral colors. But what it lacks in tone the colorway more than makes up in texture: the paneling, for instance, alternates between a perforated, smooth, and tumbled leather, the latter of which varies in its degree. What’s more, the Swoosh is outlined with a thick, blacked out embroidery, which complements not only the outsole but also the branding along the midsole, heel tab, and mesh tongue.
For a closer look at this deceptively simple Air Force 1, check out the official images below. A release is surely on the way, with sizes soon to be made available through Nike.com as well as select retailers.
In other Nike news, another colorway of the Air Max 1 Shima Shima is reportedly in the works.
