Jared Ebanks Over the past few seasons Jordan Brand has ushered the low top construction of MJ’s first signature silhouette into a new era of retro silhouettes infused with fashion-forward and disparate textile choices, proffering a glut of exaggerated sole units and clad canvas toolings. Presiding in stark difference to its contemporaries offshoot expressions, the latest Air Jordan 1 Low indulges in a crisp tonal homage to Buzz City and His Airness’ ownership of the Charlotte Hornets.
Exploring a much more titular composition than its past neutral-dominant efforts, vibrant turquoise hues envelop the smooth leather base layer in a boisterous fashion alongside the jacquard mesh tongue construction and adjacently placed nylon sock liner. Interrupting the pair’s colorful accents, light grey suede overlays proffer a monochrome contrast along the mudguard and heel counter whereas the tightly knit mesh textile returns to outfit the uppers remaining grey embellishments. Pairing crisp white laces with a matching midsole underfoot, a lucid purple washes over the midfoot Swooshes while a golden finish is attributed to the tongue’s Jumpman insignia.
Enjoy a first-look at the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low “Grey/Cyan” below while we sit tight in anticipation of further release details.
