Back in 2022, it was confirmed that both the Air Jordan 1 High and Air Jordan 2 Low would be taking us back to MJ’s rookie days, recalling the Chicago Skyline that originally backlit one of the legend’s most iconic photos. Little did we know that the Air Jordan 1 Mid would also be joining in on the fun — but unlike its aforementioned counterparts, this pair turns the clock to a point much later in the day.
Save for the mid-panel, this Air Jordan 1 Mid is relatively straightforward in its design. Deriving inspiration from the later ends of the sunset, the shoe is comprised of dark blues and deep reds, which dress the forward and back half of the shoe, respectively. Black neutrals balance out these tonal opposites along the fixtures adjacent, such as the toe cap, eyestays, collar, etc. The colorway is then rounded out with a direct nod to the Chicago cityscape, whose silhouette is printed just underneath the Swoosh.

In other news, new images of the Air Jordan 2 Low Atmosphere have surfaced.
