The Nike Air Force 1 is no longer celebrating its fortieth anniversary, but Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design continues to tease new styles prepped for the new year. Case in point?: Two pairs featuring chrome accents.
Unofficially dubbed the “Chrome Pack,” the unreleased duo couples white leather with either shimmering silver panels across the upper or midsole components. Lace dubraes – the detail historically given a shiny finish on the presidential silhouette – are abandoned, leaving other branding hits to revel in the eye-catching makeup. A contrasting black hue enters the mix via the inner lining, keeping things on the Air Force 1 grounded. Underfoot, the oft-imitated outsole is given a semi-translucent, icy blue look that complements the chrome arrangements up-top well.
No firm nike.com launch details for either pair have been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change as summer rolls around. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the shoes ahead.
