Jared Ebanks Debuting in 1989, the New Balance 550 continues to provide a diverse number of low-top options sewn from the hardwood. Resuming the silhouette’s uptick in inline offerings, the basketball oxford recently underwent a tonal wash of “Sea Salt” and “NB Navy”.
Having dressed a number of its vintage-tooled efforts, the NB 550 strips away its typical clad-leather composition for suede-treated panels dawning an aged “Sea Salt” tint. Brightened by way of crisp white bulbous “N” logos, laces and sock liners, a slightly faded dark navy enters the fold along the latter insignia’s outline in tandem with the tongue’s branded tab and adjacent trim. Interrupting the neutral ensemble, “Raw Sugar” accents line the aforementioned panels while centering along the heel’s overlay before white and grey shades conclude along the sole unit.
