Kevin Durant’s overwhelming offensive repertoire stretches from his four scoring titles in the League to dicing up the international competition with ease overseas where he currently presides as Team USA’s all-time leading scorer. Dropping a total of 435 points (19.3 ppg) and 71 threes throughout three Olympic Games, the Slim Reaper’s 15th signature silhouette pays homage to the dominance Durant has exuded alongside his three Gold Medals.
Having constructed a duo of honorary USA-friendly colorways with a luxurious wash of gold across both the Nike KD 4 and the Nike KD 7, a similar three-tone color palette is explored on the KD 15. Similar to the latter, golden shades anchor a majority of the construction, coordinating with marbled white accents across its base layer while further rendering along the midfoot caging system and plush heel counter. Illuminated by vibrant red accents outfitting the laces, sock liner, pull tabs and KD insignias, a neutral wave of dark navy touches down along the upper tongue and pull tabs “EASY” embroidery. Denoting the darkened embellishment to the base of its midfoot Swooshes and clad sole unit, an abstract print with all three colors coats the checks while a splatter effect sprouts underfoot.
Infusing the medial side of the tongue with years Durant and Team USA took home the gold – 2010, 2016, 2020 – in tandem with his total Olympic scoring, three-point numbers and points per game, enjoy official images of the Nike KD 15 “Olympics” below while we sit tight on further release details in the meantime.
