First teased mid-August 2022, Tom Sachs‘ NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe “Brown” has finally gotten confirmed release dates.
Widely considered one of the best sneakers of 2022, the “boring” silhouette (Sachs’ words, not ours) doubles down on its straightforward, no nonsense design with “Pecan” and “Field Brown” colors. Mesh and suede construction covers most of the upper, although fuse panels also appear at high-wear zones. Classic Nike branding on the tongue label interrupts the brown outfit on the Nike GPS (as the model is often referred to) with a hit of orange. Nevertheless, nearby pull tabs and cushioning underfoot revert to darker tones. Lastly, the waffle-patterned outsole rounds out the made-to-be-trashed sneakers with its black finish.
Enjoy marketing material for the General Purpose Shoe below as you wait for “Where to Buy” links to go live on Feb. 6 (nikecraft.com) and Feb. 7 (worldwide). The pair retails for $110 USD.
