Andrew Rizzo Ja Morant’s social media sneaker “leakz” continue with a first look at the Nike Ja 4 High “Christmas,” teeing up a punchy green colorway that might just remind some of a Christmas hoops shoe grail.
The reference we’re alluding to is of course the Kobe 6 “Grinch,” never a bad comp when we’re talking about a new pair. The Ja 4 High, debuted just recently via a red “Halloween” colorway, returns to the stage in Electric Green with Bright Crimson on the reverse Swooshes and midfoot shank. It’s worth noting that Ja’s picture depicts those Bright Crimson hits as more pink than they actually are.
Given we’re getting back to back holiday-inspired pairs for the Ja 4 High off the rip, we’re left to assume Nike Basketball might be reserving the high-top height for special editions rather than rolling it out more broadly. Given the modern hooper’s preference for low-tops, we say that’s probably a good call.
Ja’s teaser comes hot on the heels of Christmas styles of the Nike Book 2, Sabrina 4, and LeBron 24, all three standing out with see-through shrouds.
