Many might say Jeremy Scott is “doing too much” with his collaborative adidas, and they wouldn’t be wrong. But such criticisms fail to understand the designer’s vision and unique, characteristically absurd style, which has always manifested itself in every one of his pieces. This is true of past works — think: the teddy bear clad sneakers from the early 2010s — as well as his more recent offerings, such as the upcoming Bones Campus 80s.
Arriving in not one but two colorways, the Jeremy Scott x adidas Campus 80s Bones is something straight out of the prehistoric age — or, to be a bit more accurate, The Flintstones (I mean this in the best way possible). While the base of the shoe is largely true to the original through much the upper, the tongues feature a series of bone-shaped accessories, stacking a trio femurs up to a faux fur-covered tongue.
Available in either black or a pink-colored, animal print, Jeremy Scott x adidas Campus 80s Bones is — according to adidas Japan — releasing on Feb. 16th. A stateside release via adidas.com as well as select retailers is likely to follow.
In other news, the Air Max 1 Crepe Soft Grey is slated for a Spring arrival.
