LeBron James made history this week, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s number one scorer. And to commemorate the occasion, Nike — one of the athlete’s biggest supporters — commissioned The Shoe Surgeon for a one-of-one LeBron 20, whose luxurious materials and gilded details are more than fitting for a king.
Waiting for James in the locker room post-game, the bespoke Nike LeBron 20 — dubbed “The Moment” — effectively serves as a totem of the living legend’s milestone. Crafted primarily out of white croc, the shoe is luxurious through and through, with accents — such as the Swoosh and various references to the Lakers Forward’s career — cast in gold. What’s more, in more overt nod to the scoring record, “+38,388” is written in bold across the outsole.
Packed in marble, the Nike LeBron 20 “The Moment” is meant only for LeBron himself. Unfortunately, it’s likely none of us will ever have a chance to own a pair of our own.
For shoes you can actually own, the Reebok Question Mid Yellow Toe drops again tomorrow.
