Since its inception in 2017, the Nike Vapormax has gone on to reinvigorate its engineered Flyknit upper each year – save this past year when the 2021 model remained untouched. Boasting one of The Swooshes’ most lauded and inventive models of the modern era, the sportswear behemoth has decided its time for another seldom update to the widely-adorned construction, with first looks at the Nike Vapormax 2023 Flyknit having recently surfaced.

While its 2020 counterpart instigated a busier assemblage of embellishments, the new year’s reconstructed effort bears a resemblance much more akin to its original tooling from just over six years ago with a simplified clad-Flyknit upper. Doing away with exaggerated pull tabs, added quarters and heightened heel counters, the mudguards placed at the forefoot and heel render a toned-down rubberized shielding.

Instead of embroidering its mid-foot Checks like past propositions, the latter Swooshes only denotation comes in the chosen color of its Flyknit textile, here appearing in a crisp white outfit that renders further branded color matches along the tongue and vertically striped heel counter. Affixing n additional miniaturized Swoosh along the full-length pitch-dark Air bag underfoot, the tongue’s tooling renders a one-piece ensemble while a premium wave of terry fabric outfits the tightened collar.

Finished by attributing the same titular blue insoles that appear within the brand’s Terrascape line, both men’s and women’s sizes are expected with the men’s option indulging in hits of accented white stitching creating an oreo-like composition while the female-exclusive pair dresses in a clad-black offering instead.
