Michael Jordan’s “Black Cat” nickname has lived on from close inner circles to the wider sneaker community after dressing the famed Air Jordan 4 in a clad-black arrangement back in 2006. Continuing to reeducate the next generation on His Airness’ greatness, giant panther claw scratches come draped across the grade-school exclusive Air Jordan 1 Low.
While jet-black overlays and the model’s color-matched tongue construction provide the introduction for a synonymous pitch-dark embellishment, the youth’s obsession with titular, neon hues plays a boisterous accent across the latter. Filling its base layer, sock liner, tongue tab branding and tread in a vibrant wash of neon green, crisp white laces and the pair’s midsole unit proffer a bright white accent. Rendering its mid-foot Swoosh in a scratched-up arrangement, further white trimmed claw marks outfit the heel counter while a black panther hang tag connects the pair to MJ’s legacy with a prominent finish.
