Dating back to 2015, Jordan Brand has paid tribute to His Airness’ Carolina Blue roots with a yearly tribute to the UNC color palette. From his first to his 12th signature silhouette, the iconic “Powder Blue” has graced many a model, now touching down across the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG for an upcoming summertime release.
Borrowing the exact same color blocking as its “Obsidian” counterpart from 2019, the latter’s cream-colored base layer is instead rendered in a crisp white outfit encasing the mid-foot panel and midsole. Choosing to further darken its once murky navy mudguard, Swoosh, collar and heel panel, the aforementioned embellishments enjoy a stark jet-black contrast. Encasing the back half of the silhouette in tandem with its tread underfoot in a blissful sky blue, the brand’s staple colored toe box additionally embarks on the titular “Powder Blue” hue in conclusion.
Releasing on July 8th in full family sizes, enjoy a first look at the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “UNC Toe” below while we await further release details.
