Introduced in 2015, Flyease — the Swooshes’ easy-access tooling for those with limited mobility — has stretched across the entirety of the Beaverton brand’s diversely tooled archives, culminating in its first hands-free iteration with 2021’s Go Flyease. From everyday wear to the hardwood, one of the sportswear behemoth’s most iconic silhouettes has yet to be reconfigured, that is until today when official images of the Nike Air Force 1 Flyease surfaced for the first time.
Extending the silhouette’s synonymous “Uptown” color blocking, the triple-white ensemble boasts an identical composition to that of its 1982 predecessor. Save the jet-black Nike Air and Flyease branding affixed to the tongue tab and insoles, metallic chrome dubraes render their typical placement while harkening to Peter Moore’s original design. While the model may seem to lack the same systems as its Air Jordan 1-shaped counterpart, it’s just as easily slipped into thanks to the collapsible heel whose workings are largely invisible from the exterior.
Nike Flyease tech is made to look apparent on its footwear. Here, however, the heel is completely collapsible, therefore rendering the Flyease mods entirely clandestine. No release date information has been shared just yet.
In other news, check out the upcoming Air Jordan 3 “Reimagined”, which recently revealed itself via official brand images.
