Jared Ebanks Since signing a lifetime contract in 2002, the Three Stripes has reinvigorated Tracy McGrady’s on-court signature offerings with a revitalized slate of silhouettes receiving the brand’s Restomod treatment infused with Bounce cushioning. Continuing to expand the seven-time All-Star’s retro lineup, the Orlando Magic’s away jerseys provide direct inspiration for the latest adidas T-Mac 3.
An alternative spin on the “Black/Royal” pair that McGrady synonymously wore throughout the 2003-2004 season, the forefoot’s tumbled leather “Core Black” composition mirrors the latter to a tee, yet its the latter half of the model that invokes a stylistic disposition. Coated in a soft nubuck, the heel counter and tongue construction dawn contrasting waves of “Royal Blue” – albeit in a much more centralized tone than its pitch-dark predecessor. Attributing the medial side’s patent leather finish with bright “Cloud White” pinstripes, color-matched attributes conclude along the inner heel’s embroidered #1 and the tongue’s 3-Stripes.
