The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 revival is in full effect.
Having recently appeared in a compelling “Worn Blue” style, the Cushlon-assited running sneaker from 2010 has set its eye(lets) on a “Velvet Brown” take. A bevy of materials across the upper take on the titular chocolatey tone, while mesh panels around the mid-foot – and nearby accents – deviate in stark red contrast. Underfoot, the midsole opts for “Velvet Brown” styling once again, while the waffle-patterned outsole favors an all-white finish. No backstory about the latest Nike Vomero retro is known, but the understated color scheme could reference A-COLD-WALL*‘s work.
In 2018, Samuel Ross reworked the silhouette with gradients and non-functional detailing. His Zoom Vomero 5’s didn’t resonate with everyone, but the fashion-forward embraced the new take on an old running sneaker.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, as you wait for a nike.com launch.
