Sneaker News The annual cherry blossom season is upon us, with late-March/early-April peak marking the best timespan to view the pink flowers. Ahead of the community-gathering activity, Japanese footwear brand ASICS is ready to honor the national tradition by delivering a duet of the prized GEL-LYTE V silhouette inspired by the sakura flower.
Two colorways are included in this pastel-heavy set, essentially killing two birds with one stone as the Easter holiday in the West approaches. A light tan is offered with a lavender and salmon orange accent, whilst a second features a mossy green and a bright pink. Additionally, both feature logo treatment on the interior bootie, a rare detail. The right shoe features the circular ASICS logo, while an emblem featuring the aforementioned flower is embroidered in matching threads.
A release date is confirmed for March 10th in Europe, whereas a US release is likely going down sometime this month. See official images ahead and we’ll update you on availability stateside.
