Since being pumped up on the hardwood just before Dee Brown’s no-look dunk in the 1991 Dunk Contest, the trendsetting silhouette has since harkened back to its roots time and time again, now associating with a titular color pairing synonymous with silhouettes birth year.
Cast across Jazz graphic plastic cups and Patagonia sweaters, the unofficial colors of the decade infuse a throwback aesthetic throughout the high-top model, indulging in vibrant teal hues across the upper lining and the tongue’s Pump tooling while luminous purples litter the base layer in a splotched effort before finishing the tips of the jet-black TPU wings. Inscribing “REEBOK” in a graffiti-style lettering along the heel, crisp white hues consume a dominant majority of the lower half’s leather construction while grey suedes and black mesh curtail the tongue and upper ankle in conclusion.
