A tribute to Chicago designed by one of its own, Don C, the Jordan Legacy 312 was recently reintegrated back into the sneakersphere. And for its latest run of colorways, the model is celebrating not the Windy City but Michael Jordan himself, sporting “23” branding and the colors worn from his college days to his tenure with the Bulls.
Preceded by a Bulls-friendly colorway, this newly-revealed addition to the Jordan Legacy 312 Low‘s catalog ostensibly draws inspiration from MJ’s days in Chapel Hill. Similar to the aforementioned pair, this honorary Tar Heel features the “23” jersey number front and center, albeit doing so in “University Blue.” Additional hits of the UNC signature are also applied along the Swoosh, lining, branding, and the blue-to-yellow gradient along the midsole. The rest of the shoe, in contrast, is made up of neutral tones, with white and off-white shades painted onto the overlays and base, respectively.
Enjoy a closer look at this UNC-inspired take on the Jordan Legacy 312 Low ahead. A firm release date has not yet surfaced, but it’s likely we’ll be seeing these on Nike.com and at select retailers sometime soon.
