COMME des GARÇONS HOMME Keeps It Simple With Their Collaborative New Balance 580s

The universe that is COMME des GARÇONS is comprised of several diffusions, each with their own design ethos and collaborative relationships. And whereas HOMME PLUS and CdG SHIRT are close friends with the Swoosh and ASICS, respectively, COMME des GARÇONS HOMME is much more familiar with New Balance, who have provided the menswear label the opportunity to craft not just one but two understated colorways of the 580.

Much like many of their prior efforts, the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME x New Balance 580 changes very little about the very sneaker it reimagines. Save for the “CdGH” branding along the heel tab and insoles — and the much more expensive, near $300 dollar price tag — the model lacks any noteworthy tweaks here. Much more mind was paid to the colorways of the two styles, both of which stick to the Japanese label’s minimal form in their respective black and grey arrangements.

Enjoy a closer look at the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME x New Balance 580 ahead. While pairs have already surfaced at select retailers, it’s likely an official launch is scheduled for later this Spring. For now, sit tight and stay tuned for further updates.

In other news, official images of the Air Jordan 7 White/Infrared have surfaced.
