Jared Ebanks To offset the inevitable onslaught of brightened hues set for the arrival of summer, The Swoosh is instead taking a more uniform approach to its lifestyle archives. Coating the Nike Dunk in a myriad of neutral-based backdrops, the Air Force 1 is joining in on the clad association by taking a dip in deep army green shades.
Matching its recently unveiled Dunk Low counterpart in color blocking, texture and tincture, the Bruce Kilgore design indulges in a thick corduroy stretched across its vamp and mid-foot panel accompanied by suede-treated overlays while the tongue comes composed of a tight twill fabric. Whereas the Peter Moore design infused a seldom breakage from the uniform palette in its lightened Swoosh, the AF1’s tonal “Pistachio” outfit is interrupted via the dark army green insoles and tongue tab branding.
