Jovani Hernandez The Nike Blazer Mid ’77 has been a permanent fixture of the brand’s lineup of products since 2017. Over the last handful of years, the original basketball shoes has delivered countless styles, which now includes a gingham-accented, “White/University Blue” option.
Akin to a previously-seen Air Force 1 Low, the picnic table cloth-reminiscent pattern animates the sidewalls swooshes and upper heel. Branding on the tongue label and sockliner borrow the gingham’s vibrant blue flair. The remainder of the shoe opts for a clean “White” finish that’s perfect for summertime wear. Reinforcement panels at the lateral forefoot and tip of the toe deviate from their common suede build in favor of leather construction. Lastly, the sole unit keeps things “colorless,” further shining the spotlight on the Nike Blazer’s gingham touches.
