The ASICS GEL-Lyte V Gets Ready For Summer In “Matcha Green”

The ASICS GEL-Lyte V doesn’t boast the same mainstream popularity as other options from the Japanese institution, but it enjoys a cult-like following.

Recently, the non-split-tongue-donning design appeared in a “Matcha Green” color scheme. Clad in shades of yellow, the latest ASICS offering keeps things mostly uniform, making a statement via its material application and finishes. A textured fabric covers the tip of the toe, as well as a large part of the mid-foot and heel areas. Underfoot, the GEL-encapsulating foam midsole matches the upper’s yellow look. Outsoles, however, deviate from the top-half, rounding out the GEL-Lyte V with a gum brown makeover that’s perfect for summer.
