Jared Ebanks The Air Jordan 1 Low, AJ 2, AJ 3 and Jordan 6 Rings have all shared one thing in common over the past six months, dressing in the brand’s widely circulated “Lucky Green” colorway. Packed full of nostalgia reminiscent of MJ’s 63-point performance against the Boston Celtics in 1986, the latest successor to the aforementioned series arrives this weekend in the Air Jordan 1 “Lucky Green”.
Originally released in 2009 as a part of the Jordan “DMP” Pack, the titular green color blocking returns to near-exact specifications with a “Black Toe” treatment atop a crisp white vamp and quarter underlay. Color matching the winged insignia and mid-foot Swoosh in the presiding pitch-dark tone, the Celtics-synonymous outfit saves its appearances for the laces, collar, foxing and tread underfoot. Unlike its OG predecessor, Jumpman Air branding has been ditched in favor of a Nike Air label at the tongue harkening to the pair’s ’85 birth year while a tumbled leather is reserved for the ankle overlay and the heel cleans up in a flattened texture.
