Michael Le 4/20, the official holiday for all things marijuana, is no longer observed exclusively by stoners. Sneakerheads, too, have cause to celebrate, as brands the likes of Nike SB and adidas have been putting out commemorative sneakers for some time. The Three Stripes are continuing the tradition for 2023, ushering in what is quite possibly the best weed-themed release of the year: the Campus 80s “Crop.”
Even at first glance, the inspiration behind the adidas Campus 80s “Crop” is quite clear. Rather than limit its homage to marijuana exclusively, the pair crafts a somewhat sensory experience that’s ostensibly based on the look of a blunt, its brown paper exterior helping conjure to mind images of Backwoods. And once this outer layer is removed (or even burned away), it’s revealed that much of the construction is made up of kush-colored suedes.
Accented with a touch of tie-dye, the adidas Campus 80s “Crop” is scheduled to release tomorrow, April 20th, at select retailers as well as adidas.com.
In other news, the Run The Jewels Nike SB Dunks will also be releasing tomorrow.
