The team over at atmos is never not working. As spring continues moving forward, the Japanese institution has teamed up with adidas Originals for a three-pair collection of the adidas Adimatic.
A relic from 1996, the Adimatic had long been forgotten by the masses. Cult-like fans of the shoe across Japan, however, had kept the chunky skate shoe’s legacy alive, documenting its history on social media and scouring thrift stores for vintage pairs. atmos’ takes on the silhouette look for authenticity in both construction and color palette; original color schemes are fused with the Harajuku, Tokyo-founded imprint’s motifs for a true collaboration. Durable suede uppers, zigzag midsoles, and oversized profile 3-Stripes reprise their traditional roles across the collection, which also nods to XLARGE and classic adidas packaging.
Enjoy detailed photos of the Adimatic by atmos ahead. Pairs previously dropped overseas, but a stateside launch took place in-store and online today via www.atmosusa.com. All three styles are now available for between $100 and $120 USD each.
