Peter Moore’s Nike Dunk Low design has maintained relevancy over the last 38 years like few sneakers have.
Ahead of summer, the made-for-basketball design has emerged in a series of styles inspired by the sport. Most recently, the low-top silhouette appeared in a predominantly black color scheme complete with airbrush detailing at the swooshes. Smooth leather makes up the pair’s base layer, setting the stage for fabric overlays around the forefoot, along the tongue, and across the heel. Off white midsoles are complemented by pitch-dark outsoles, further cementing the Nike Dunk‘s muted color palette. The sneaker’s marquee detail, however, arrives at the side swooshes and upper heel tab: both components feature a gradient effect reminiscent of airbrush paint jobs on concrete courts, oversized t-shirts, and other elements associated with the game in urban landscapes.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, while you wait for firm nike.com launch details.
