Jared Ebanks Less than two weeks after paying homage to the life of Gianna Bryant via the Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Mambacita”, the Bryant Estate and The Swoosh are planning on outfitting as many Black Mamba fans as possible, with recently surfaced imagery confirming the upcoming release of the heralded Nike Kobe 8 System.
Arguably boasting the best one-two punch within his signature series with The Swoosh – featuring supreme cushioning fused with undeniable traction – the Kobe 8 System was worn by the five-time Champion throughout his remarkable 2011-12 season and now returns for the first time since being included in the “Black Mamba” Pack from 2016. Seven years since its last retro treatment, the silhouette comes cured in a clad-white color blocking while enjoying its usual trappings of an engineered mesh upper, pebble-grain leather overlays and an enormous caged Zoom Air bag inserted in the heel.
