Having originated around 1910, society has been passing time for over a hundred years by rolling stainless steel boules as close to a bright orange jack as possible. Following both END and Reebok’s joint effort featuring the Club C “Stout”, the two entities return for a timeless collaboration atop the Classic Leather inspired by the French ”Pétanque’ sport.
Stepping into the boulodrome both literally and figuratively, the running staple from 1983 receives a luxurious tooling that pulls on elements of the sandy playing surface, curing the suede and tumbled leather upper almost exclusively in a vibrant mixture of “Stucco” and beige. Expanding the neutral-tinted base layer across the tongue construction, laces and midsole, hits of “Sap Green” then dress the heel tongue, tongue trim and heel while accompanied by a gum tread underfoot. Aside from the outdoorsy palette, the collaborative silhouette’s theme is further entrenched by orange hits at the lace tips and outsole signifying the game’s jack while silver metallic detailing of the sidewalls enacts a subtle nod to the spherical boules.
Scheduled to release next Friday, June 2nd, via END, in the meantime enjoy official campaign imagery of the END x Reebok Classic Leather “Boules Club” below as we await further drop date details.
