Another JJJJound-esque ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 Appears With Metallic Purple

As we approach the one-year anniversary of the JJJJound x ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 release, we can look back and easily say that the co-sign with the Montreal-based brand has done wonders in regards to raising awareness around the silhouette. Despite being on the radar of sneakerheads in the know, the GEL-Kayano 14 was relatively unknown to the mainstream until the simplistic design by Justin Saunders broke onto the scene.

Since that release, ASICS hasn’t been able to keep up with the demand for their near-identical GRs. Any pair that utilizes the familiar silver, cream, and black base seems to move units quickly, and we suspect this newly crafted colorway will be no different. These are more akin to the silver/black pair, but with an added metallic purple shade on the heel accents and the visible GEL cushioning on the midsole.

If you’ve missed out on the JJJJound pair and don’t wish to shell out the extra dollars, this latest colorway of the retro runner is available now at select ASICS retailers in Europe; an ASICS.com release stateside is set for an arrival in the coming weeks.
