Jared Ebanks Whether it be the likes of Sean Wotherspoon or Blondey McCoy, the adidas Gazelle Indoors has been privy to a generous number of collaborative efforts this year all while maintaining room for a compelling general release lineup. Recently the cultural icon of over six decades was revealed in a duo of colorful compositions.
Connected via the use of “Collegiate Burgundy” hues – dressing the supple suede upper of one and the premium leather fixtures of the other – a singular swatch of “Core Green” repeats on each of the pair’s middle-most stripe. The similarities continue onto the cream-white leather tongue, quarter overlay and collar lining while gold foil logos receive a debossed treatment above the latter’s textured design. Sitting atop a clad gum cup sole, the silhouettes pose their differences in the respective wine red and “Blue Dawn” uppers accented by “Arctic Fuchsia” and burgundy mid-foot stripes and heel tabs.
