Other trims of the first Air Jordan are set to take on metallic finishes in 2024, nodding to an original set of releases from the 1980s. The upcoming women’s retro deviates from Peter Moore’s blueprint with its “Light Gum Brown” outsole, but its profile swooshes, collar panels, and “Wings” insignia on the lateral ankle flap. The remainder of the sneaker boasts a “White” makeup appropriate of the era.

Despite widespread consumer fatigue over the Air Jordan 1, the silhouette continues to appear in new styles.
Recently, rumors emerged of a Retro High OG arriving in a “White/Metallic Gold” color scheme. Don in the same color-blocking as the “Metallic” Air Jordan collection of 1985, the unreleased pair is set to release only in women’s sizing. A “colorless” look takes on the majority of the sneaker, with interruptions arriving in luxurious form via the profile swooshes, collar underlays, and “Wings” logos on the ankles. Underfoot, a “Gum Light Brown” outsole rounds out the clean, mostly-two-tone arrangement.
