Michael Le Long-time partner of the Three Stripes, NEIGHBORHOOD has helped bring to life countless collaborative adidas over the years. And after adding paisley to the NMD R1 back in 2022, the Japanese streetwear label is now setting their sights on one of the line-up’s newest creations: the NMD S1.
Together, NEIGHBORHOOD and adidas have reimagined the NMD S1 in two very different ways. The first starts much like your typical, inline colorway, albeit with white threads stitched around the toe and along the shoe’s heel. What’s more, founder Shinsuke Takizawa’s branded signatures are applied across the plugs of the shoe’s midsole. And despite making use of this exact same sole unit, the accompanying option couldn’t be any more distinct in terms of its design. Borrowing cues from motorcycle boots, said pair boasts a high-top, suede-constructed upper complete with a moc toe and magnetic hardware.
