Over the last 20 years, CLOT has been unifying East and West via its own work, as well as collaborative projects. To continue its milestone anniversary celebration, Edison Chen’s imprint has teamed up with the Swoosh for the Nike Cork Dunk.
As the pair’s official name suggests, the classic Dunk Low silhouette is reimagined with cork uppers. Chen, inspired by the cork moodboards he began CLOT with, first landed on a cork-covered sneaker 10 years ago. The concept is only being actualized today, for the brand’s 20th anniversary. Flaps on the spine mark the special occasion, donning “2003” and “2023” in both Arabic and Chinese numbers. Each pair of CLOT’s Cork Dunk arrives with three different sets of laces and five interchangeable profile swooshes.
“This shoe is supposed to be a blank canvas for you to dream big, and for you to realize your dreams and put your own little motif on a Nike,” said CLOT Founder and Creative Director Edison Chen in an official press release for the collaboration.
Lastly, the Nike Dunk Low features a cream-colored midsole and dark brown outsole. The shoe arrives in a co-branded box that’s seemingly made out of cork.
Enjoy detailed photos of the pair ahead, as you wait for the shoes to drop on June 23rd. Follow @clot and @juicestore on social media for updates.
