adidas Introduces The Exomniac, A Chunky Sneaker Inspired By Rave Culture Of The ’90s

adidas Introduces The Exomniac, A Chunky Sneaker Inspired By Rave Culture Of The ’90s

As adidas continues to fill its Yeezy-shaped void, the German sportswear brand is looking to its archives.

The Three Stripes has recently taken over sneaker rotations everywhere with various models from its adidas Originals lineup, and it’s looking to the 1990s and 2000s for its latest bet: the adidas Exomniac.

Inspired by running sneakers from decades past, the Exomaniac bears semblance to the Orketro, for example. Instead of reminiscing on distances ran, however, adidas’ new proposition remembers songs danced to as it goes after rave culture. A mesh base layer allows for high breathability, while curved panels throughout the upper inject a tech-inspired feel into the pair. Smooth leather also makes up part of the equation, working with “adidas” branding on the lateral quarter panel for an old school look. Underfoot, a chunky adiPRENE+ midsole provides all-day-and-night comfort for the insomniacs who live on the dance floor.

Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, as you wait to secure your pair via adidas.com soon.
