Michael Le Following several collaborative sneakers with the likes of New Balance and adidas, Ronnie Fieg’s KITH is now once again reprising its partnership with ASICS. For their second project of 2023, the two are applying season-appropriate colors to two of the Japanese footwear brand’s most beloved silhouettes: the GEL-Kayano 14 and the GEL-1130.
Entitled “Vintage Tech 2023,” the pack was first teased by Ronnie Fieg himself this past May. And after almost an entire month of anticipation, the four KITH exclusive styles are finally gearing up for a wide release later this week.
Despite their differences in shape and color blocking, there’s no mistaking these forthcoming GEL-Kayano 14s and GEL-1130s as two separate collections. All four pairs are dressed in a similar manner, featuring cream midsoles and silver metallic paneling. The main distinction lies in their accents: though both are offered in a “Cream/Scarab” colorway, the “Cream/Antler” and “Cream/Starlight Blue” are exclusive to the Kayano and the 1130, respectively.
