Michael Le Over the course of the last eight years, adidas has made several new additions to the NMD line-up. And following the debut of the NMD_G1, which surfaced at the very beginning of 2023, the Three Stripes will soon be welcoming yet another new member to the family: the NMD_W1.
Unlike its above-mentioned counterpart, the adidas NMD_W1 appears to be a women’s exclusive. Releasing on the first of July in not one but two different colorways — “Collegiate Orange” and “Cloud White” — the model is a more contemporary interpretation of the original NMD_R1. While the general shape and form are similar to said predecessor, the specific details are aesthetically distinct: the midsole plugs are both sleeker and rounder in shape; the BOOST sole is enlarged to platform height; and the upper features a soft, ribbed textile.
For a first look at the adidas NMD_W1, check out the official imagery ahead. Both the “Collegiate Orange” and “Cloud White” colorways are scheduled to release on July 1st via adidas.com.
In unrelated news, the Nike Calm Slide is also releasing in July.
