The Nike Cortez Returns In A Women’s-Exclusive “Midnight Navy” Outfit

The Nike Cortez Returns In A Women’s-Exclusive “Midnight Navy” Outfit

The Nike Cortez didn’t have a blockbuster 50th anniversary, but it seems the Swoosh is looking to redeem itself throughout 2023.

Over the last seven months, the brand’s marquee running sneaker from 1972 has emerged in handfuls of new ensembles. For its latest appearance, the Forrest Gump-approved design has taken on a “Midnight Navy” and “White” color scheme. Akin to other iconic Cortez pairs of the past, the upcoming offering – exclusive to women – features a two-tone arrangement throughout its upper and sole unit. Nylon and suede cover the bulk of the upper, although leather appears in the form of profile swooshes and upper heel panels. Underfoot, the serrated outsole sees a strip of the titular navy tone just above it. Together, each aforementioned component makes for a straightforward, but fresh option for old and new fans alike.

Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a nike.com launch before summer ends.
