Sneaker News Despite its obsession with innovation, NIKE, Inc. continues to revisit gems from its past. Although the Oregon-based conglomerate sometimes references classic designs in new offerings, it also updates existing models with fresh looks, tooling, and other changes.
Over the last several months, handfuls of Nike Sportswear classics emerged with “split” branding on the sidewalls and tongues. The pairs – which include the Nike Dunk Low and Air Force 1 – form part of the category’s “Remix” collection. The brand hasn’t disclosed any press release related to the lineup’s backstory, but the choice in color-blocking and experimental branding suggests each remixed Nike sneaker meshes popular styles within that individual model or the Swoosh’s catalogs. Some color schemes on the featured pairs reinterpret popular arrangements like black and red, whereas others couple grey with shades of blue. Nevertheless, each offering from Nike Sportswear injects a breath of fresh air into decades-old designs.
