The New Balance 550 has taken on countless ensembles since re-entering the brand’s lineup of products in late 2020. In the process, the silhouette has gone from “lost in the archives” to one of the most popular sneakers across the globe.

Over the last few months, Steven Smith’s old school design has taken on spring and summer-friendly ensembles, donning pastels and vibrant tones alike. Recently, the outdated performance model emerged in a refreshing mix of white, dark blue, and purple colors. While inspiration for the ensemble hasn’t been disclosed by the brand, the color-blocking follows that which has previously appeared on the NB 550. Worthy of a “Berry Mix” moniker, the style covers everything from branding on the tongue to traction zones underfoot in an assortment of muted, but compelling hues.
