Trae Young and adidas will launch their third signature sneaker collaboration before the 2023-24 NBA season.
Aptly-named the adidas Trae 3, Young’s next silhouette by the Three Stripes is a visual and technological departure from his previous two sneakers. Composite foam underfoot is specifically engineered to support energy return, an achievement that’ll help fast-paced, agile guards like Young. Additionally, the Trae 3 features an updated asymmetrical torsion bar for improved stability. Traction underfoot brings biometric data gathered from the Atlanta Hawks star’s game front-and-center, providing top-level grip via a herringbone pattern. The future-forward basketball sneaker forms part of adidas’ pushing of the boundaries within the performance space, with the Trae 3 offering a bold aesthetic amongst other basketball shoes.
“I am incredibly proud to launch my third signature shoe with adidas, and it holds a special significance for me,” Young said in a press release for the adidas Trae 3. “As I step into this new chapter of my life, becoming a father, it feels like I’m entering a new era, not just as a player but as a man. This shoe represents not only my evolution on the court but also the legacy I hope to leave behind.”
Enjoy a closer look at the Trae 3’s inaugural styles ahead, and find pairs at adidas.com/basketball on August 3rd. Young’s third signature sneaker is priced at $140 USD.
