The Nike Terminator High “Seattle Supersonics” Is Set To Return Soon

The Nike Terminator High “Seattle Supersonics” Is Set To Return Soon

Seattle Supersonics fans, rejoice!: The Nike Terminator High dedicated to your defunct – but unforgettable – team is set to return before the year ends.

First launched almost 20 years ago, the “Black Forest” and “Del Sol”-covered pair hasn’t been seen since the Nike Rewind collection in 2004. Similar to the Terminator High “Georgetown,” the “Seattle” style faithfully represents the once-thriving Pacific Northwestern franchise through its color scheme. “White”-colored accents at the sides and upper heel interrupt the Supersonics-inspired color-blocking, but not enough to detract from the rich choice of tones. Every detail from the vibrant yellow “Nike” text on the heel to the old school outsole remains intact, with the exception of the tongue label. Original pairs of the “Seattle” Terminators featured the number “71” on the tongue tag, harkening back to the team’s uniform during the 1971-72 season. The upcoming retro features a “79,” possibly commemorating the Supersonics’ first and only NBA championship win.

No firm nike.com launch details have been disclosed by the brand yet, but that’s likely to change before 2023 ends. While you wait, enjoy official photos of the pair ahead.
